Repeatability and Programmability that is built into our
Hardinge lathes allows us to achieve tight tolerances, outstanding surface finishes and overall
excellent cosmetic quality. Dimensional tolerances of
±0.0002 are common for the parts turning at
Superior Tech. Many lathes can be offset as little as 0.00001(ten
millionths) of an inch and we have the ability to hold
±.001. Surface finishes down to 4 micro inches can be achieved through roller
burnishing on internal and external diameters. All of this is
standard in both prototype and

We excel in producing precision shafts, where requirements are as tight as
0.0001
straightness, 0.0005 circular runout on slip press fit bearing journals.
We have the experience to do precision hard
turning, the machinery top produce parts utilizing live tooling and the option of manufacturing parts complete with the use of sub-spindles and Swiss turning. Close tolerances, small parts,
heavy machines, or difficult materials are commonplace for us.
